In 1999/2000, Dan had a Friday night residency as a warm up DJ for Jason Moore and Nicky Holloway at the ‘UrbanTorque/There’ night at London’s infamous Heaven nightclub. This led to a chance meeting with well known DJ Kev Hill, who asked Dan to deputise on his dance music radio show called ‘The Freedom Principle’ on Active 107.5FM (later renamed Soul City 107.5FM) while Kev went on tour with the Ministry of Sound in Europe.
Dan took the reins of many of Kev’s shows between 2000 and 2003, plus also deputised on Rob Blake’s Saturday night dance show.
The ‘UrbanTorque/There’ night was where Dan met fellow DJ Leigh Morgan and DJ/Producer/Sound engineer Anthony Moore, with who he went on to form dance music production outfit Facedown (see the Facedown page for details)
