Dan collaborated with Arnaud Dechelle, Minako Kurachi and Francois Cassin to create a soundtrack of people’s stories of their daily routines in this temporary, site specific installation which was heard inside Flat 92 of the soon to be demolished Market Estate in North London.

Dan also contributed his composition ‘Heat Shimmer’ which played on a continuous loop to give a second room an ethereal atmosphere.

The website describes the website as follows:

‘The Market Estate Project invited 75 artists and designers to work alongside residents of soon to be demolished housing estate, in Islington London, transforming the flats left behind, corridors, staircases and building facades and transform the building into a creative celebration, a colourful and rich last memory of the estate.

More than 2500 people attended the event on 6 March 2010 which invited the public to explore the art works created on site, just before the demolition bulldozers move in

The event was developed by Tall Tales in partnership with Southern Housing Group, with support from Higgings Construction, The Arts Council England, HTA Architect and Philip Panks Partnership’
